From the reviews
Dr. Derek Tenckhoff has been a huge help with my rib problems. He’s very knowledgeable, explains everything clearly, and the treatments have made a big difference in my pain and mobility. The office is professional and welcoming, and I always leave feeling better. Dr.
I've been coming here for 2 years now. I initially came to see Dr. Tenckhoff for a debilitating pain due to a bulging disc in my lower back that had been in sharp pain for 7 months. Facing the real possibility of surgery, my friend recommended this practice from an Instagram ad. I consider it fate.
Let me first say that I have never had acupuncture or cupping before, I do not like needles but I was in a car accident and was looking for pain relief for my neck. I have only been to the office for 4 sessions but after the first session my neck had more range of motion.
Dr Derek is amazing! I have sciatica issues and herniated discs and he has been great help in my recovery. Was recently in a car crash and got hurt, he has been treating me and is very knowledgeable in what he does. Highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
