From the reviews

Woke up with an agonizing knot in the middle of my back that made doing anything including driving incredibly painful. Was recommended Tao to Wellness by a family member who had been there a few years before.

★★★★★ — Daan, Sep 2024

I’ve been seeing Deanna at Tao to Wellness for about 6 months, transitioning quickly after my other acupuncturist fell Ill. Deanna has been wonderful to work with and her skill at diagnosing and treating quickly is amazing! She is absolutely a natural healer.

★★★★★ — Ellen, Jun 2022

Deanna has helped me immensely with chronic and acute pain, anxiety and stress, and basically fixed my painful PMS cramps. I’ve been seeing acupuncturists for over a decade and she’s the best I’ve encountered. Her calm demeanor puts me at ease every time I come in, no matter how bad my mood or pain is.

★★★★★ — Sari, Dec 2021

I've been going to Tao to Wellness and working with Deanna for the past few months have been loving it. Deanna really cares about working on my health issues and is willing to make changes when something isn't quite working out.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
