From the reviews

I found Dr. Brill after relocating to the Bay area for work last year. I've been getting acupuncture for 17 years from a variety of providers and I have to say he is the real deal. He is a healer.

★★★★★ — Sarah, Nov 2020

I'm extremely grateful for the care I've received from my Dr. Bril, while being treated for Bell's Palsy. His passion, deep knowledge, and continual skill enhancement are evident in every session. He doesn't just treat symptoms; he looks at the whole picture, ensuring a personalized and effective treatment plan.

★★★★★ — Jyoti, Oct 2023

It’s been almost 4 years now that I have been working to understand and reverse my MGD (Meibomian Gland Disfunction). One traditional medicine doctor after another, all prescribing me antibiotics, steroids, allergy meds or nsaids. I am NOT A FAN of symptomatic medication.

★★★★★ — Marissa, Jun 2024

I came to the Dr. Brill 2 month ago absolutely desperate. I got Plantar Fasciitis on both feet and barely walk. My pain was 9 out of 10 on my left foot and 5 out of 10 on my right foot.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
