From the reviews
Dr. Shahbazian’s cupping therapy has been a game-changer for my shoulder injury from lifting at the gym. It eased the tension and soreness, and helped me recover faster, getting me back to training in no time. Highly recommend her for anyone dealing with workout-related injuries!
came in with intense shoulder pain—tight, aching, and radiating tension that had been building for weeks. It was affecting my sleep and daily movement. The moment she began working on the area, I could feel her precision and care—like she knew exactly where the pain was living in my body.
I have been dealing with back and shoulder pain for the past 3 years. I finally decided that I needed to heal my body. I was nervous to try acupuncture due to needles, but Dr. Raisa is amazing! Not only is she approachable, but very gentle and educated. I can’t recommend Dr. Raisa enough.
I had an incredible experience with Raisa! It was my first time trying acupuncture and cupping, and I was dealing with significant lower back and neck pain. After just one session, I felt so much relief. Raisa guided me through every step of the process, making me feel completely comfortable.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
