From the reviews

I began seeing dr Swetlic in the early 1990's when I was suffering from severe, immobilizing lower back pain. I had never been treated by a chiropractor before and I was skeptical about the process. After taking an xray of my spine, dr Swetlic diagnosed my problem as a bulged disc.

Dr Overholt is amazing. He is attentive to needs and listens when you express your concerns. If Dr Overholt does not have a answer to a question you ask, he will do all he can to find one. Although I have never been seen by Dr Swetlic...he is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.

Dr. Swetlic is awesome and is truly concerned with your long term health! He was able to find an injury in my son that a team at Children's couldn't find/diagnose. Now my son has a positive outlook now that the injury can be treated.

I've had only one session so far. Tried something different vs what I have had done in the past elsewhere. I feel amazing! Noticed a difference right away. Am beyond happy!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
