Dr. Wu treated me using cupping, acupuncture (thin needles) and massage. The music was peaceful and the red lamp was warm. She ensured that I was comfortable and made me feel well taken care of. The massage therapist did deep tissue body massage and a head massage. She did not talk during the massage.
Surya is amazing! Been coming to her at different times for years for back pain and fertility treatment (that includes an amazing massage!!). I’ve been coming to this acupuncture clinic for help with hormonal imbalance, and the results have been amazing. I had several treatments at Surya Acupuncture Center and they have helped me tremendously. I had sciatica issues on my right leg and Dr Surya was able to make the pain go away. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
