If you are looking for a massage to relax and have oil rubbed on you, this is not the place for you. BUT if you are looking for a massage that really works out your knots and makes you feel like a whole different person, then this IS the place for you!
I had the best experience and massage at Surf & Sport Massage. I booked with Terri and told her about my injuries. She was so knowledgeable and really worked on my trouble areas. I suffer from migraine so I get a very stiff neck, shoulders and upper back. Terri was so diligent and really worked out all of the tension.
I have suffered from golfer's elbow for 6 months now. I don't even play golf. I surf everyday and the repetitive motion just makes it worse. I tried everything. I went to 2 physiotherapists, tried acupuncture, tried cortisone shot, even did platelet rich plasma injections. Nothing really worked.
Teri is the absolute best! My husband and I have been going to Teri for years and cannot recommend her enough. She is extremely professional, always on time, very respectful and genuinely cares about her clients.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
