From the reviews

I’ve been going to Summit PT for a few years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their new Green Cove location is awesome! It’s not as crowded as their Middleburg location and it’s closer to me.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Summit Physical Therapy. After going through a failed hip replacement and a hip revision at only 36, I know I needed a therapist that was experienced and who could really push me and get me back to “normal” (whatever that means)!

★★★★★ — Katie, Dec 2025

I recently underwent rotator cuff shoulder surgery and am highly satisfied with the care I'm receiving at Summit in Green Cove Springs. The staff genuinely cares about their patients and are passionate about their work. The facility is clean, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.

★★★★★ — Millie, Feb 2025

Summit Physical Therapy was highly recommended by my orthopedic surgeon, and they certainly lived up to his recommendation. Unlike other facilities, Summitt actually provides one on one therapy. Their therapists are professional, experienced, knowledgeable, personable, and caring.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
