From the reviews
My 11-year-old daughter is a competitive gymnast and was struggling with progressively worse hip and ankle pain to the point that she was almost in tears at practice. We started seeing Dr. Travis, and after just 2 or 3 sessions she was completely pain-free—and she has stayed that way for 2 months now!
I previously had a mediocre hands-off PT experience at a military treatment facility that did not help my pain at all, and left me feeling hopeless about managing my pain and resuming my active lifestyle without medication. I decided to try going to Strive Performance on the recommendation of a friend. Dr.
I’ve had a truly positive experience at Strive Performance. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and professional. Mary Beth, the office manager, is always friendly, and very helpful. She makes scheduling easy. It is clear she values patient care. Dr.
I can’t recommend my physical therapist enough. He is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, and truly cares about his patients’ overall health and well-being. What sets him apart is that he doesn’t just treat the symptoms, he works hard to find and resolve the root cause of the problem.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
