From the reviews

I injured my back over 30 years ago. It flares up every 3 years and can be very painful. It flared up in 2023. I couldn’t work out for weeks. I had Matt treat me for 6 sessions. He was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. He gave me a series of stretch exercises which were very helpful.

Matt is by far the BEST PT in Rhode Island! There is a long list as to why but I’ll focus on two. From the very beginning and at every appointment, Matt met me exactly where I was while for the first time in forever making me feel like healing was possible.

★★★★★ — Jeraldin, Apr 2025

Matt stands by a strength training approach to healing which is rare in today’s world. He gave me a level of service no other PT can match and trust me I have worked with many physical therapists. Matt holds himself in a professional manner.

★★★★★ — Zachariah, Apr 2025

Matt helped me with chronic plantar fasciitis. After over 18 months of following my podiatrist’s suggestions things were not improving. His recommendation was surgery and I was not onboard with that.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
