From the reviews
Ali is terrific. I've had four sessions and it has helped repair my leg injury. Thank You!
Ali is an amazingly talented acupuncturist. I went into the office in crazy pain. After she worked her magic I left there 100% a new man. She’s highly recommended, the best at what she does.
From my very first appointment, Ali took the time to truly listen to my concerns and understand my overall health goals. She takes a whole-body approach to wellness. She has not only helped to improve my circulation, but has even provided thoughtful guidance on nutrition and natural remedies.
I have been seeing Alvie for three visits over three weeks for GI issues, residual low back pain following PT resulting from a fall, and anxiety from various other new co-morbidities and medication side effects Alvie is compassionate, skilled in her field and has excellent techniques.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
