What clients say about the cupping here
“Eli is a highly skilled and experienced massage therapist who is well versed in a variety of techniques that she is able to blend to best serve the needs of her clients.”
“Instead as rushing right in, she takes the time to listen and identify what you're hoping to work on and gain that day and going forward.”
“Whether we are doing Deep Tissue work or subtle, her work is spot on and I leave feeling relaxed, grounded and better than before.”
“Her work was strong with subtle but powerful energy work, which both have been helpful in recovery of a few old injuries.”
“I was very impressed with Eli from the first time she gave me an astrology chart reading and was able to tell some deep stuff about me.”
From the reviews
I saw Eli for stress relief and overall tension and came out without so much more. Her knowledge of the body and how the nerves, vertebrae, and muscle tissue are connected really showed especially when she worked on my cervical spine, neck, and shoulder.
If you're looking for an effective massage to help with pain relief, muscle recovery, or just some routine maintenance/realignment on your body, mind and soul; then look no further than Souljourner Healing Arts with Eli. She offers a myriad of services that cater to whatever your needs may be.
Eli held space for grounding me from a stressful day as she eased into a dynamic and relaxing massage. I was late to my first appointment, and even so I was welcomed and offered a warm inviting space and relaxed atmosphere.
Souljourner Healing Arts really lives up to the name. Eli has created a warm and welcoming space, promoting relaxing and healing even before you get on the table. Instead as rushing right in, she takes the time to listen and identify what you're hoping to work on and gain that day and going forward.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
