From the reviews
I work out a lot and was looking to relieve some tight muscles and soreness, so l booked a full-body massage with Sage. She's professional and incredibly knowledgeable; found out that my lower back pain is linked to tightness and limited mobility in my hips. No one else caught that before.
Sage of Soma Sanctuary provided me therapeutic massage during a very stressful season of my life before and after a cancer prevention mastectomy. Sage went above and beyond to support me with informed care when I was cleared for massage post-surgery. Sage is confident.
Sage is amazing! I wanted to do a relaxation massage which was needed and she definitely helped me relax after a long week. I’ve never had a massage therapist before actually take their time to notice little things about my body that I did not even know.
Soma Sanctuary was incredible and really helped relieve my upper shoulder/neck pain. As someone who sits on the computer all day for work, I have a lot of tension in those areas. I got a therapeutic massage and felt incredible after. Sage was very communicative and really cared about my pain points the whole time.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
