From the reviews
…My husband just recently had cupping done along with his massage and he felt much relief afterwards! While I was pregnant I had several prenatal massages and they were fantastic and very relaxing! I had a lot of tension in my jaw and she did a lot of work to help release it. We recommend her to our friends and family!
I came to Laura for help after a back injury left me with not a lot of answers or treatment options. Its been about 6 months since I started attending her functional movement classes. I feel stronger and my posture has improved greatly. Laura is a wonderful instructor and the atmosphere is so welcoming and supportive.
I can’t recommend this enough, to everyone! Laura’s trainings have not only relived my aches and pains but she’s given me education and realignment to how to best avoid most of not all ailments. By addressing bad habits of weight distribution and muscle engagement.
Laura is very passionate about functional movement training, and I've learned a lot about body alignment that has helped me with my running. The core rotation exercise has increased my mobility and strength.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
