From the reviews

Lori is fantastic. The focus here is on helping you with your well-being. I saw Lori after having a surgery that required immobilization and had significant tightness and discomfort in places unrelated to the surgery because of my abnormal posture and inability to stretch or move.

Lori is the best masseuse of the 20 or so that I have been to. She will actually listen and focus on the areas you need help with instead of just going through a routine. She knows significantly more about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle than the average masseuse as well.

Sol Sister Studio is more than just a place for yoga or a massage. It's a sanctuary that welcomes all with warmth, support, and grace. A place for EVERYONE! A place to celebrate and honor the beauty of YOU. A haven to nourish mind, body, and soul.

★★★★★ — Erin, Feb 2024

I did facilitated stretching with Christie today! 10/10 strongly recommend. Christie was very professional, explained in detail what to expect and was informative with the next stretch so I didn't have any surprises. The studio is clean along with the sanitizing practices.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
