Why Sierra Acupuncture & Healing Arts is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “nsertions of tiny thread like needles into points along pathways of energy called meridians. We use only pre-sterilized and individually packaged disposable needles. A treatment may also include other modalities such as cupping,…” source →

What clients say about the cupping here
“I have been going here for several years (starting during my third pregnancy in 2021) where Maggie and Maureen helped me so much with my sciatica and lower back pain.”
“My insurance coverage fell out of network as well so I experienced this but meeting the situation with understanding was my only choice.”
“I had an unpleasant experience with acupuncture in the past, but Maureen is so knowledgeable, caring, and gentle!”
From the reviews
Sierra Acupuncture and Healing Arts is so great! Maureen is so amazing and has helped me tremendously in so many areas of pain and discomfort in my life. She takes the time to not only treat my symptoms but helps me to create a plan for addressing the root cause.
Took a while to get in but totally worth it. The doctor had me walking out without any pain and managed to keep it away permanently after a few more treatments. I now go in regularly for "tune-ups" and am feeling great.
Maureen is awesome. She was able to help me heal during COVID. They all went above and beyond what is expected.
Maureen and staff are amazing! I have been going here for several years (starting during my third pregnancy in 2021) where Maggie and Maureen helped me so much with my sciatica and lower back pain. I started going again after my primary care showed no interest in helping figure out an inflammation issue.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
