I've struggled with arthritis for nearly 40 years, and have had numerous surgeries followed by physical therapy...LOTS of physical therapy. I have never experienced care like here at Shift Therapy.
I began working with Clint Satterfield a year ago. We were working on my balance when I re-injured my post surgery rotator cuff. We switched to shoulder rehab for short time. In January 26, I had reverse shoulder replacement and Clint has been my therapist. He is innovative, adding different exercises most visits.
I have had a multitude of symptoms since I had crushed a nerve in my neck and nothing seemed to get rid of the dizziness, after working with Clint he reduced that symptom almost immediately and I can now say I'm back to 100% in that regard, he is easy to work with and does a great job of listening and working with you…
All the stars for Clint! He has worked with me for hip, knee and ankle ailments and kept me moving and lifting weights the entire time. I'm able to do exercises, run and impact exercises I'd decided were no longer for me before working with Clint.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
