From the reviews
I had such a great experience at Serenity Lux Massage in Glendale. I came in because of severe neck tension, and I felt relief right after my session. Ruby was amazing — she not only provided a wonderful massage but also gave me very helpful recommendations and stretching exercises that I can continue doing at home.
I had an amazing experience at Serenity Luxe. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calming, clean, and truly elevated. The staff was professional, attentive, and made sure I felt completely comfortable the entire time.
I booked a last-minute massage because they were open late and had strong Yelp reviews. I spoke with the owner to schedule and paid a small deposit to hold the appointment, which I completely understood and appreciated. Valentine was my massage therapist and she was excellent.
The BEST lymphatic/sports massage I have ever gotten. Ruby is the most skilled masseuse, with knowledge of every muscle and exactly how to target problem areas. She applied the perfect amount of pressure, listened to my body, and tailored the session to what I needed.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
