From the reviews

Very clean and professional place. The therapist was very knowledgable and was able to work on some of my injured areas and make them feel better without causing any pain. She suggested the cupping and it is something I will definitely get everytime now.

Absolutely love Marissa! Such a pleasure to have a dedicated massage therapist that is well-informed and up to date on the most recent massage techniques available. She is polite, respectful, and very professional.

Serene Senses massage (owned & run by Marissa) is easily the most hidden gem in Riverside county. I have been with Marissa for years. After moving to CA from out of state, I was establishing my self-care team-which has always included a massage therapist.

★★★★★ — Alice, Nov 2025

Marissa is absolutely THE BEST massage therapist I have ever been to. She is very nice, very professional, very respectful and very, very good. I started seeing her a few years ago when I could barely walk. After the first visit, I was hooked!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
