From the reviews

I visited Sarah weekly for a little over three months, in the beginning of 2019. I was referred to Sarah by a relative that had a great experience with a deep tissue massage she offered. Long story short, I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 2017. Wearing a backpack for 6 ½ months took its toll on my body.

I have worked with Sarah on several aspects which most recently was long distance reiki. Long distance reiki can sound skeptical at first when it’s explained to you, however if you are intuned to your own energy and know when something is unbalanced it’s a great way for Sarah to reach out and balance your energy in…

★★★★★ — Jill, Sep 2018

This was, quite simply, the best massage I ever had. And I have regular massages all the time. Sarah is able to go deep and break up the source of muscle pain and tension. In one session she restored mobility to my shoulders and wrist. She does energy work as well, including craniosacral therapy.

★★★★★ — Tracey, Dec 2015

Sarah always senses what I need and no matter what method or combination of she uses, it is always exactly what my body needs. I ALWAYS leave feeling restored and peaceful.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
