From the reviews

I have had a tight lower hip and back for almost a decade, which slowly progressed the last two years into debilitating nerve pain in my back, hip, and down the front of my leg. I've had many different types of body work over the years, but never acupuncture (I have a phobia of needles!

At 74 yrs, it was suggested that I try acupuncture for immunity and life balance. I'm grateful that another acupuncturist (out of my area) recommended Spring!! As a novice I wasn't sure what would happen or how I would react, but it's been completely easy, professional and amazingly beneficial.

I took my 5yo daughter for her first acupuncture treatment and she loved it thoroughly!! I specifically picked Spring's practice because it has a cozy ambience with nurturing, healing energy. It is less clinical and more spa-like, giving my daughter a more comfortable feel.

Acupuncture treatments from Spring have changed my life! After giving birth to my second child prolapse issues began to effect me daily. I considered surgery but was told I wasn't a good candidate as I was so young, and the potential side effects too severe.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
