From the reviews

After just one acupuncture treatment I was possibly the most relaxed I'd ever been in my life. After 8 years of chronic muscle spasms due to a painful shoulder injury, sleep was replaced with pain & worry, and my health was failing in many ways. Varying degrees of anxiety had become my normal state of being.

★★★★★ — Jill, Feb 2018

I have been seeing Emiko for almost 7 years and the acupuncture and herbs have helped me tremendously in so many areas but especially preventing frozen shoulder and everyday neck and shoulder aches and pains. I highly recommend her practice as she works on several ailments in a holistic and clean environment.

★★★★★ — Mari, Sep 2017

When you experience something that brings you so much calm and relaxation, you have to tell people. Despite the office building vibe when you pull up, once you enter Sakura, the vibe is Zen. Angel is the most delightful receptionist and the surroundings bring peace to your heart and soul.

★★★★★ — Christine, May 2024

I bring my mom for excruciating neck and back pain and some emotional stress and Emiko was above and beyond to be able to support , after the first treatment my mom feel instant relief , however on the next day.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
