I've been sitting on this review for a while bc there's so much good to say. I've had about 6 sessions so far with Dr. Candace for various chronic issues, and I can already say this has become one of my happy places.

First time going and will definitely be returning! The office was clean and calming. Dr. Candace was so knowledgable, confident, and able to answer all my questions about the treatment so i was comfortable. I did a gua sha/ cupping facial with some needling (PAINLESS!) and the results were amazing.

My teenage son and I both love Dr. Candace! She has helped him with his chronic knees issues and some gastrointestinal issues. She has such a great touch and goes above and beyond to help.

I cannot recommend Dr. Candace enough! She has been helping me deal with a shoulder and bicep injury and every time Dr Candace treats me I’m amazed at how much better I feel and how much my range of motion improves.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
