From the reviews
Best physical therapist I’ve ever worked with. He takes a sincere interest in your goals and daily routines and builds a program tailored specifically for you. There’s gym equipment on site and he will tailor the exact movements for you after massage, deep stretching, and perhaps cupping or dry needling.
Kaung at Roots PT is amazing. I have been seeing him for lower back pain and he has helped drastically. Very knowledgeable and professional. I’m the type of person that wants to learn and know everything, and he is amazing at explaining to me exactly what we are doing and why we are doing it.
Kaung is the best! He is extremely knowledgeable and can explain things in an easy to understand way. He gives actionable steps to improve and seems like he really enjoys helping people. Highly recommend!
Kaung is one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate PTs I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with. I’ve worked with him for years, so I’ll highlight my thoughts - I started seeing Kaung while I was attending CWU after having a right shoulder labrum repair.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
