I’ve now been to RMM a dozen+ times over a few years. I no longer live nearby so don’t manage to get in as often as my body would like. I last went in as a complement to chiropractic treatment I’d recently received elsewhere.
What a perfect place! Everyone was so extremely nice and welcoming. The front desk person was very warm. She made light small talk which allowed us to feel very welcomed and like old friends. The office if very clean, comfortable, and modern. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Matthew.
Went in for a 30 min deep tissue today. You can book an appointment online and it's super easy. Everyone was very nice. The therapist was informative and knew what she was doing. I will definitely be booking another appointment.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I saw Dene today for my first visit. I am a few weeks into my pregnancy and have been having severe low back pain. About 5 minutes in to my appointment I felt the pain disappearing. It was magical.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
