From the reviews
The depth of Anne and Adam’s clinical practice is something special. I am quite cautious about whose care I am under, and these two have served as my acupuncturists for the past few years.
I highly recommend Ritual Health Acupuncture and Herbalism to anyone in need of healing. Dr. Adam is a top-notch clinician and healer who has extensive background in training for both Chinese Medicine and Tibetan Medicine. Best of all, he is extremely compassionate, communicative, and caring for all of his patients.
Anne and Adam have been an amazing team of acupuncturists for me! Their very impactful work bears witness to the breadth and depth of their learning--both doctors of acupuncture and Chinese herbalism, Adam is also a doctor of Tibetan medicine, and Anne is an expert in Chinese astrology, which they also offer to…
I first came to see Adam almost two years ago for chronic fatigue, digestive issues, depression, and anxiety. Since then, I’ve witnessed healing on many levels—physical, psychological, and spiritual.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
