From the reviews
Dr. Alan Genitempo is a miracle worker. My left shoulder and arm were in spasm and totally locked-up. The pain was excruciating when I tried to move my arm (open and close the car door, lift my arm, etc.
I have had pretty consistent lower back pain for around 6 years. I tried many other interventions before going to RECOVR, but the pain always crept back and the effects were never long lasting... until I met Dr. Alan! He really helped me alleviate the pain I was experiencing and I am forever grateful! Not only is Dr.
I turned to acupuncture after being involved in a serious accident that left me with persistent pain in my neck, shoulder, back, hips, forearm, and fingers, making it difficult to lift or even grip properly.
My wife and I have visited Dr. Alan several times in order to alleviate certain pains with out traditional pain medication. We first visited Alan when my wife was pregnant and was experiencing sciatic pains. After her first visit she felt better and with some of Dr. Alan's recommendations the pain had gone away.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
