I thought that I knew what a truly great massage was like, until I met June. Originally, I booked them last minute for my husband who was in desperate need. He enjoyed their massage so much he convinced me to try- and boy am I glad that I did!
It's hard to find a spa in Tacoma that is high quality while also being reasonably priced. I live in Lakewood, and there are about 20 asian massage parlors in my area.
I couldn’t say a single bad thing about this place! They were fantastic in every aspect. They were flexible when I realized I didn’t have the right coupon, AND they got me in the next day. Karen is top notch. I’m a picky massage person, and I have been going from one place to another trying to find a great massage.
Carol is one of the best if not the best massage therapists I have had the pleasure of experiencing. She is very attentive to anatomy and my specific health conditions, ie whiplash. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
