From the reviews

I would not say “self care” comes easily to me, especially when it involves making an appointment and spending money. HOWEVER…going to acupuncture with Thalia is *the* easiest decision to make.

★★★★★ — Emma, May 2025

I can't say enough positive things about Thalia and her practice. I've been driving an hour each way to regularly see her for years now because she is that good and worth it! Her knowledge, experience and passion for her work shines through every day. She cares deeply for her clients and the community.

If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere while getting some concerns addressed this is the place for you! Thalia is thorough in collecting a baseline for your first appointment so she can get to the root cause of your problems. I highly recommend acussage which is the method of combining massage and acupuncture.

★★★★★ — Lauren, May 2024

Thalia is incredibly knowledgeable about so many different massage modalities and acupuncture. She is thoughtful, thorough, and truly listens and considers the information I give her about whatever I have going on.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
