I normally don’t write reviews, however I feel blessed and so grateful I found Rachel at Rachel's Wellness Massage. I was looking for a massage place for myself and my husband who suffers from chronic back pain. I have tried multiple massage places in the area including Massage Lake Charles.
Best massage therapist I've found in SW La! Very strong for my deep tissue massages and she can also use her feet. Also great for someone that doesn't like deep tissue like my husband and daughter, they say she is the best also!
I have been seeing Rachel for about 8 months now. When we go to the casinos we always schedule with her. Being a massage therapist myself, I can highly recommend Rachel for deep tissue massage. She has various “treatment” methods—hot stone, trigger point release, myofascial, relaxation, all in one.
Ms Rachel’s Wellness Massage deserves more than 5 stars. The beautiful new facility and staff provide a very welcoming and calming atmosphere. Ms Rachel’s deep tissue massage was amazing. It far exceeded my expectations of what a massage could be. The flexibility work and pain relief was wonderful. All in all 10 stars!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
