Why Prior Lake Spine Health & Injury Center is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “ies, chronic pain, or a restricted range of motion. The massage therapist generally concentrates on a specific problem area. (Sore neck and shoulders, anyone?) From the reviews
I’ve lived with two disc herniations (L4-L5 and L5-S1) for over 25 years. I recently had two Ring Dinger® decompression treatments (the 2nd session was with Dr. Rickert), and I want to share my experience. After my first session (at a different clinic), I underwent a full spine MRI.
Crystal is wonderfully skilled and quite possibly one of the most empathetic and compassionate people I've ever met. Truly professional in her field, as a mechanic, a plow operator, and a manager for an auto parts retailer I certainly feel sore all the time and struggle with chronic back pain....
I can’t recommend Crystal enough! She is an incredible massage therapist who truly listens to what you need. Every session feels personalized—she takes the time to understand what’s going on and offers helpful information and suggestions that go beyond the massage itself.
Awesome Massage today from Crystal at Prior Lake Spine. I'm on a plan for frequent massages for several reasons. She's been working to find better ways to help me through massage for a new medical condition I have and am still learning about. We are learning and adapting together as I navigate this process.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
