From the reviews
Dr. Leslie addressed my golfer’s elbow injury with lots of attention to detail. She allowed me to provide all the examples I could think of that exacerbated pain. The approach to alleviating my injury involved multiple plans of attack with future proof approaches to avoid the injury coming back. I appreciate Dr.
I had a lot of pain and could only make bare minimum movements. I had two previous back surgeries, and I see now that I never finished getting better after the surgeries because I didn't finish getting enough physical therapy.
This is my second time around with Powerhouse. First time was my shoulder which Dr Sandra Gomez did a tremendous job at fixing it but I'm back again starting physical therapy at Powerhouse PT, I was struggling with serious pain and weakness in my left knee.
Dr Gomez and the whole staff at Powerhouse PT are super friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely professional in the field of physical therapy. Note I have been to therapy for my shoulder before but nothing like Powerhouse. It was a completely different experience.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
