From the reviews
This was my first experience ever with acupuncture and cupping and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Sam was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, she clearly explained everything she was doing and why, telling me about how the body is connected and explaining how acupuncture and cupping heal the body in…
What an amazing experience. Danielle is a very talented, educated, cheerful and shining soul. The experience overall was totally foreign, yet comforting at the same time. The place smells amazing, my questions were answered, and I was asked pertinent questions at the same time. Looking forward to follow up visit.
Dr Sam is absolutely awesome. I received acupuncture and cupping for my back and she really loosened those back muscles. Plus she explained a ton of info on the core areas and addressing those areas daily. What’s great session! I’ll definitely be back.
When I left Massachusetts, the one thing that had me the saddest was leaving my acupuncturist over there....I didn't think I'd find an acupuncturist I loved as much as him. I was pleasantly surprised, and also hit the jackpot when I met Danielle and had my first session with her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
