From the reviews
I have been here several times with varied issues. They do everything they can to help you get back to your pre-injury self. The staff and therapist all love what they do and it shows in their performance and results. It's the best physical therapy place in town.
Picayune Physical Therapy is an asset to our community. From pre-operation strengthening to post-operation recovery and every step in between the two, I cannot speak highly enough of the entire staff. The therapists collaborate and are extremely professional and well-informed on current best practices.
I received physical therapy here for a knee injury that had been troubling me for months. After just a few weekly treatments, I could feel a drastic improvement in my knee pain and condition. The treatment plan that was written was perfect for my symptoms.
Ernie and his entire team are awesome. I would highly recommend Picayune Physical Therapy Center. From the day of my consultation to the day I completed my PT, the experience has been good. The staff is very personable and most knowledgeable. Definitely a FIVE STAR experience. 👍🏼
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
