From the reviews
Dr. Derek is a truly gifted professional. I contacted him early on a Saturday morning after arriving in town with excruciating pain. He responded immediately and saw me within a few hours. He knew exactly how to help me.
The most important thing I’m about to tell anyone reading this review is that Derek truly cares about his clients. From the get-go I was very weary. I had been back and forth with chiropractors, other people telling me what I should or shouldn’t be doing and not seeing or feeling any results with my lower back/Si…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been seeing Derek at PhysioRight regularly for neck and back issues, and he’s always been incredible — knowledgeable, professional, and truly invested in his patients’ well-being. On my last visit, I was experiencing a sudden episode of vertigo.
I was referred to Derek by a friend of mine who is a trainer and spoke highly of him. I've been having ongoing hip and back problems and was down here on vacation, so I gave Derek a call. He was extremely accommodating and I was lucky to get an appointment with him.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
