From the reviews
Nikki at Perennial Acupuncture is my favorite holistic health practitioner, I won’t go anywhere else. I’ve seen her for acupuncture many times over the years for support on issues ranging from chronic pain, depression and anxiety, and injury.
Nikki is an amazing person and especially incredible health practitioner. She has worked with me on multiple levels to ease my chronic condition. Acupuncture, herbs, supplements, dietary suggestions and cupping and she is incredibly knowledgeable and gentle with all.
Nikki is kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and non judgemental. I loved getting cupping done in her beautiful, cozy space. It felt like such a relaxing escape. 10/10 would recommend.
Nikki from Perennial acupuncture created such a calm and safe envIronment for healing! I felt so cared for, she offered me seasonal tea from herbs she grew in her garden to sip while she did my intake.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
