From the reviews

After a car accident left my left side “non functional” and headaches constant, was sent to Pequa PT by my trusted primary care provider. Upon arrival I was in sad shape. Now just over a year later, I’m 80% BACK. And those horror d, brain exploding headaches have stopped. Of course, exemplar staff helps.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this place is! My son has been going for physical therapy for his back, and he absolutely loves it there! He looks forward to his appointments, especially the time he gets to spend in the pool (yes, they have a heated pool for therapy, and it is incredible!

★★★★★ — Kristin, Jul 2023

I was a client of Pequa for about 6 months through various injuries. I am very grateful for the care Derrick and Maddie gave me. They were accommodating and spent a lot of time helping me despite having several other patients to work with.

★★★★★ — Amir, Oct 2024

The employees at Pequa are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The aqua therapy pool is wonderful, the facility is clean and well maintained, and the therapists go at your pace and comfort level. They are willing to adapt to your personal needs and limitations with modified exercises.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
