I have been going to Ocean Physical Therapy in San Clemente since moving to Orange County in 2018. This is by far the best physical therapy center I have ever gone to. Excellent and professional staff from the owner to the receptionists.
Ocean Physical Therapy is 2nd to none. They have treated me and my family for multiple reasons over the past three years and their therapist ms and trainers are great. The entire team is knowledgeable, respectful and supportive of your needs.
OPT successfully treated me for a complicated injury and managed my recovery. Additionally, I was able to continue my strengthening with their corrective exercise trainer: not just recovery from the injury, but a level of fitness way beyond my pre-injury level.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
