Tucked away in a corner of Lake Oswego, Noi Massage Comfort and Spa is a hidden gem! The peaceful atmosphere and staff are amazing, from the friendly front desk to the gifted and personable therapists.
Some of the best massage therapists. Knowledgeable about Thai Massage and therapeutic massage, and use a wide variety of techniques - cupping, scraping, Tok Sen, passive stretching. Also, the owner knows how to navigate insurance, and is willing to jump through the hoops to maximize benefits.
Jon is FANTASTIC. I am literally a new woman after getting a 90 min massage with fire cupping - I walked into my appointment bent over from bad SI joint pain and he was absolutely amazing! His style was deep tissue which was exactly what I needed. I am walking tall with my back pain assuaged.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
