I had such a great experience for my first Japanese Head Spa. The service was super relaxing and luxurious with a lovely ambiance in the room. Lacy and Ashlie clearly care about what they do, and it shows in their work. Ashlie even came in on her day off to accommodate a couple’s service for me and a friend.
I have gone twice now and Both Times were absolutely amazing! As a new mom, it is really hard to find time to take care of yourself and both service providers were very thorough. Made sure I was comfortable and provided an excellent service from start to finish. Definitely recommending everyone. I know to go here!!
I live in Gainesville but work in Orlando, so I’ve tried a lot of spas in both areas over the past decade. I work long hours, so I make self-care a priority when I can on my limited time off, and Nirvana Day Spa has exceeded my expectations every single time, even compared to many of the “higher-end” spas in Orlando.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
