From the reviews
First!! I had a great time in Doctor Yu's care. He was very patient with my questions and knowledgeable in his field. I also appreciated that there was no sense of hassle to make any short or long term commitment to come back.
Simon addressed my issue and help improve my mobility. He's on time and gets your appointment done efficiently.
As a 4x-year-old Asian woman with imperfect English skills, I want to share my wonderful experience at Nexus Wellness Center, especially how Dr. Yu helped me with the unbearable pain from long hours of sitting in front of the computer and cintiq.
The doctor was friendly, patient, & competent. They took away weeks of bodily pain and gave very good health advice to lessen the pain. I recommend them, very much.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
