From the reviews

I'm so grateful that NEIH opened a practice outside of Cambridge as it's so much easier to travel to. The Beech House location is a peaceful space that helps facilitate healing and makes the treatment one experiences there feel meditative and calm. The mural on the wall is especially gorgeous as well!

I have been going to Abram’ practice in Cambridge for over a decade. Their new location in Bedford MA is more convenient for me now and just as lovely. Practitioner Am Giang at the Bedford location has been exceptional continuing my regular treatment with acupuncture and cupping.

★★★★★ — Jennifer, Mar 2026

NEIH’s Beech House in Bedford is a peaceful and quiet healing space. Am Giang is a wonderful healer who is sensitive, attentive, and responsive to her patients needs. In addition to acupuncture, her treatments can include cupping, gua sha, e-stim and others.

Both my wife and I have seen Abe and other practitioners in his practice. They’re all consummate professionals… but getting to Cambridge is tough when I need to be in the office in Bedford. I was thrilled to hear that NEIH was to open a new branch in Bedford! I had an appointment today with Am. What a great space!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
