The past two years has been really hard to find a hairstylist that will listen to me, as most end up cutting it how they think it should look. Well I went to Marla and was not disappointed. She understood I was growing my hair out and just needing the very tips trimmed.
I never imagined I'd find the best blonde specialist of my life in Gallup NM but here we are! Ashley does such a great job determining the look you're going for and is happy to offer her expertise. My hair has never felt so healthy after a highlight, I can't say enough good things about her!
Love this place! The Salon offers a great sense of tranquility with the waterfall wall and greenery throughout the spa. All of the girls are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Marla cuts my hair perfectly everytime and is the reason I continue to travel to Gallup from Phoenix year after year! Stop in...
Ok, I had a 90min deep tissue massage... I haven't had a massage in years. Delicious. As soon as she started on my back, she mumbles "oh, wow" haha she did a great job, I need to go back and get more of the difficult knots taken care of. Highly recommend!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
