From the reviews
Erik is friendly, professional, and welcoming, and his office is clean and inviting. He helped me address tight calves that were affecting my running, and I could feel a noticeable improvement after just the first visit—both during my session and as I walked out of his office.
Erik is amazing! I had a strength training injury in my hip area that wasn’t getting any better - I thought I could work through it but ended up hurting more and more. I was working with another PT group through my insurance for a couple weeks but wasn’t really gaining any relief .
Erik truly cares about his patients, not just during sessions, but in how they’re progressing outside of them as well. He takes the time to really listen and thoughtfully adjusts his approach based on how I’m feeling, always looking at the body as a whole rather than just focusing on one area.
I can't say enough about how amazing Erik Meyer, MVP Rehab & Sports Performance, is as a physical therapist and sports trainer. My daughter had knee issues from basketball, and Erik worked with her to improve her mobility, strength, and core stability to prevent future injuries.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
