Book with Jacob!! I’ve been dealing with persistent shoulder pain, especially when raising or rotating my arm, likely due to muscle tension or overuse. After trying several remedies, I booked a deep tissue massage session focused specifically on the shoulder and upper back area—and I’m so glad I did.
Have been seeing Jacob for a few months now. Was dealing with chronic shoulder and neck pain leading to headaches as well as plantar fasciitis. Jacob is hands down the best sports massage therapist I’ve ever had. Very professional. Uses multiple tools including shockwave therapy and cupping when deemed indicated.
This place is legit. This isn’t a fluffy spa -this is a healing place. Roy, might have magic in his bones. Therapeutic massage, deep tissue, real work to heal your pain before pills and/or surgery. Don’t expect 1x to be the answer but consistent work is truly a miracle.
This past Saturday was my third time to Muscle Shark. Each time I have had someone different and each time was a great experience. If you like a Deep message Jordan is the one. If you want someone who’s knowledgeable, Roy is the one to help you out.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
