Why Mohawk Valley Healing Therapies is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “should I recommend a connective tissue massage or MLD (manual lymphatic drainage), it is important to have direct skin contact so I can apply a lubricant which will allow me to provide a drag on your skin, as well as if cupping is needed.…” source →

From the reviews
I had always been told I should see somebody and have a cranial massage done so I finally googled it and found Mary beth. I went to Mary beth and had the massage and it felt amazing and I couldn’t believe the difference. She also got talking to me about how my body felt and if I ever got relief from massages.
I have been searching in our area for somebody who does more than just Your typical massage and well there are some great people I’ve come across that are very good at massage.
I have been setting up appointments with MaryBeth for almost two years now and am super happy with the results. After many years of physical work as well as currently sitting at a desk job for 8+ hours, my body had really begun to feel it; however, since I have been going twice, or once, a month at the least- I've…
I have been going monthly to MVHT upon the recommendation of my wholistic practioner and feel I could not maintain the level of fitness and active lifestyle I lead if it were not for MaryBeth.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
