Why Metamorphosis Healing Arts is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “younger and more radiant. Acupressure – sustained pressure to release pain, restriction, and stiffness. Acupressure creates a path for energy to flow and causes a cascade effect of relaxation throughout the body. Cupping –…” source →

★★★★★ — Katherine, Mar 2023

I have been seeing Brassie for about a year now and it is amazing how much more in tune with my body I am. I enjoy deep tissue and focusing on a specific area during my massages that are tense, along with cupping on my lower back.

★★★★★ — Danielle, Nov 2022

The quality of my health has drastically improved since seeing Brrasie. Her use of cupping, fascia release, deep tissue massage, etc. has helped greatly in dealing with arthritis, migraines, and old injuries. Most importantly, she adapts each session to what needs to be focused on at that particular time.

★★★★★ — Delicate, Dec 2022

Brrasie does an incredible job listening to her clients and offering a holistic session to address their needs. She has helped me unwind years of chronic jaw pain with her buccal (intraoral) massage techniques. I particularly love her gentle yet deep myofascial work and cupping!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
