From the reviews

Just excellent! When I first started seeing Diego I could barely lift my arm. Within 3 visits I had 90% range of motion. Now about 3 months later he is addressing years of injuries. He truly understands the body.

I’ve been a member for many years now. I have had many appointments with Heather, Diego, and Tasha… they are all professionals and great at their craft. I have left satisfied and relaxed after every massage. I am currently working with Tasha and she has been amazing.

★★★★★ — Gina, May 2024

Diego was fantastic. I've gotten massages from other places, but they've never really been able to address the issues of pain. What Diego did was definitely body work, not a soft relaxing massage (which i enjoy but would not meet my needs), and very much needed.

Tasha was incredible! This was my first time coming to Merrimack Valley Bodywork and from the minute I walked in, she made me feel welcome and comfortable. Her pressure was perfect throughout the massage and she even went the extra mile to check if the pressure was okay during my massage.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
