From the reviews

I just had my second massage (with hot stones) with Rachel, and it was absolutely AMAZING!! We talked beforehand for her to see if I had any concerns or problem areas I would like her to focus on. The atmosphere was relaxing and so serene…..a completely judgement free zone!! The massage itself….MAGIC!

Massage has become part of my wellness routine. Ruth is a gifted and intuitive massage therapist who is quick to listen (whether sharing the cares of your world OR asking for more/less pressure) and provides the best care for whatever is aching.

Mended by Hand is an oasis. The staff is welcoming and skilled at addressing your needs. Rachel always leaves me feeling so relaxed. Colleen is amazing at acupuncture. She always leaves me centered and feeling more healthy each time I see her. THIS is the perfect day spa setting.

★★★★★ — Jackie, Jul 2023

I always thought of massages as an indulgence and not something that could benefit my health. Once I met Ruth and had my first session with her, I changed my mind. I've had a lot of back, neck and shoulder pain because that's where I carry my stress. Ruth has helped that go away and I feel MUCH better!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
