I had an excellent experience with May my massage therapist. From the moment I arrived, the environment was calm, welcoming, and very professional. It was very clean and the smell instantly relaxed me. The soft music playin was therapeutic as well.
I got my massage from Amanda, and she did a great job of getting all the knots out. She starts off by pressing lightly throughout your body to find where you are tense or have knots, then she gets to work. She started off with a head massage before she began using oils on the rest of the body.
I’ve had a wonderful experience at Medico Spa on Veterans Parkway. Cynthia is amazing. She truly listens and works until my knots are actually gone. I really appreciate that she checks in and asks if I want her to keep going.
Contacted Cindy last minute Saturday night for a couples massage and she responded immediately and got us in Monday morning. One of the best massages in such a lovely atmosphere. Cindy & Lucy were so sweet.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
